Stacy was born in Washington, PA and raised in Canonsburg where she most recently returned
after living in different areas of Pittsburgh since graduating College in 2005. She graduated from
California University of Pennsylvania with several degrees including a Bachelor’s degree in
Education (Spanish Education grades K-12), A Master’s of Education in Elementary Education,
and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She began working at a non-profit
organization doing therapy with Homeless women with comorbid diagnoses and their children
while teaching their After School Program provided through the organization. Aside from
working there, Stacy started working wraparound services as a Behavioral Specialist Consultant
(BSC) and did so for 13 years. This including working with children with many different mental
health conditions in all environmental settings not limited to the home or school. She then
transitioned to another non-profit organization doing trauma therapy with at-risk youth and youth
in out of home placements in therapeutic foster care (CRR and TFC) where she stayed for 12
years before transitioning into a program at the same organization providing therapy with
children and families at risk of their children being placed in foster care. Along with servicing
many children and families in Washington County, Stacy has been providing therapy in private
practice for 5 years. Stacy is also a Licensed Behavioral Specialist focusing on children and
adolescents with Autism. Stacy is an experienced therapist and is also available for LPC
supervision.
Stacy is a very passionate therapist and has a multi-faceted approach when using therapy
styles. Stacy first and foremost uses a strength-based and person-centered approach to focus
on client’s existing strengths and she provides the encouragement for clients to become
motivated to learn the skills and techniques that best suit them to work towards their personal,
professional, and independent goals. Stacy has many years of experience working with PTSD
and trauma. Stacy has an extensive trained background in utilizing trauma-focused Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). She has a particular
interest in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders/eating disorders, and trauma. I
also sincerely enjoy working with those going through life transitions or unexpected changes
that include loss, relationship difficulties, or career and school changes. Stacy always does her
best to create a safe and healing space for you to begin your healing journey, and to live a
happier, more fulfilled life.
Stacy is in network with Aetna and United/Optum insurance and will be in network with Highmark, UPMC and Cigna soon!
