Meet Meagan Scott, LPC

Background

Meagan grew up in Northern Butler County and moved to Washington County in adulthood.  She graduated from Thiel College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice.  She began working at a residential facility for at-risk youth. She then transitioned to managing a dementia unit for seniors where she found a passion for working with families struggling with loss. 

Meagan graduated from Waynesburg University with a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. She worked as a counselor for 4.5 years in the addiction field before transitioning to private practice in 2018.

Meagan has completed trainings in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, and Gottman Method. She also holds certification as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), as well as a National Certified Counselor (NCC).   

Meagan is in network with Highmark, UPMC, Aetna, Cigna, Optum, and Tricare insurance as well as self pay clients.  Meagan currently has a waitlist for new clients.
