Meet Heather Huemme, LCSW

Heather is a dedicated and compassionate professional with a strong foundation in social work and psychology. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and began her career working with adjudicated adolescents. Driven by a passion to deepen her expertise, Heather earned her Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from California University of Pennsylvania. She obtained her license in Social Work (LSW) and is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

With extensive experience in therapeutic counseling, medical social work, and case management,   Heather has worked with individuals across the lifespan-children, teens, adults, seniors, and families- across a variety of settings.  Her practice focuses on empowering clients to navigate the stressors and mental health diagnoses. She specializes in empowering clients to overcome the challenges posed by life stressors. Heather's therapeutic focus includes working with individuals and families coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment issues, and grief and loss. SHe is skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) , Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Family Systems Therapy, utilizing evidence-based interventions to help clients manage symptoms and improve their overall quality of life. 

Adopting a person-centered approach, Heather collaborates with individuals and families to identify their strengths and empower them in navigating life's challenges. She is committed to providing compassionate, effective care that supports long term well-being and healing. Heather is available to work with children, teenagers, adults, couples, and family units. 

Heather is able to accept cash pay clients and is in the credentialing process for commercial insurance!
